Coupling at the top, internal bearingsTMAi
Coupling and ceramic bearings at the top, the shaft hangs freely into the vessel.
Mounted from the top, supported at the bottom: the TMAw transmits torque hermetically through a magnetic coupling at the lower end of a stationary tube. The bearing is the same as on the BMA and is lubricated by the medium.
Overview
The TMAw sits on the top of the vessel. A stationary tube reaches down close to the vessel bottom; at its end sit the magnetic coupling and the impeller. Only the rotor turns in the product space — the long drive shaft runs protected inside the tube.
Design
The simplified diagram shows the lower end: inside the stationary tube the driving magnet turns on the drive shaft, outside on the tube runs the rotor with the driven magnets. The tube separates the two completely — there is no shaft passage into the product space.
Positioning
All top-mounted magnetic agitators transmit the torque hermetically through a magnetic coupling. They differ in where coupling and bearing are located.

The bearing lies outside the product space, with an external CIP/SIP connection.
Coupling and bearing at the lower end of the stationary tube, medium-lubricated as on the BMA.
